2 Liebig Hidden Object Cards

February 28th, 2008

After struggling with the scanner and Adobe Photoshop for 2 hours, I’ve finally managed to get these 2 beautiful Liebig Hidden Object Puzzle Cards up on the site. Made in the 1800s, Liebig cards are collectors items, valued for their high quality colored lithograph printing and design. To appreciate the detail, click on the images below to jump to high resolution.

For the 1st one, Where is Pierrot?

For the 2nd: Where are the 3 boys?

if you can figure these out, feel free to enter your answer into the comment section below. Answers to be revealed in about a day or 2. Thanks

Site update: We’ve made some progress building out the profile component: Avatars are now up and running. You can now upload a graphical image.

It’s been several months since we saw the last antique French puzzle card, so figured I’d bring another out.

Thanks to slavco23 for providing the translation: “Where is he, that who says that I’m a bad cater, me, the first prize winner in the whip contest!… Come on, where is he?”

Don’t have the official answer to this, so will be curious to see what we can come up with. If someone knows German, can you start us off by helping with the translation? Thanks

Here’s an earlier antique hidden object puzzle card from France, where you have to help a man find his three rabbits.

Have you ever seen a bird in a tool chest?

There are no hidden objects here; for a hint on how to solve, check out this similar antique puzzle card.

Here’s another new puzzle type we haven’t seen before on the site. It’s an antique "Find the Fault’ card from Dennis Productions.

To make sure most visitors have a chance to try the puzzle, answers (entered into comment section below) will not show for 24-48 hrs.

In the late 1800s, the Liebig Company was a pioneer in the production of meat extract, and used collectable trading cards to publicize their product. Below, I’ve scanned to the website one of their puzzle cards in which you have to find the hidden object.

Today, Liebig cards are collectors items, valued for their high quality colored lithograph printing and design, which supposedly was never really matched by any other company. To appreciate the detail, click on the image below to jump to a high resolution version.

Not entirely sure of the German translation, but according to Babelfish the puzzle card is asking: ‘Where are the Ubrigen smokers?". If any of our visitors speak German, feel free to post any clarifications in the ‘comments’ section below. Thanks

Not sure of the exact translation, but in this very old "Hidden Objects" puzzle card from France, I believe this man is looking for his three rabbits. Can you find them?
