zeal without knowledge is the sister of folly
Sir John Davies, whose daughter was named Lucy, which is the name of the elephant, is that the connection to the picture?
I’m proud to say that I’ve been to the top of that elephant. It’s very hot inside Lucy in the middle of summer!!
“Zeal without knowledge is the sister of Folly”
Cool!!
I’m going to go with “Zeal without knowledge is the sister of folly” (although I think that “Real wishful knowledge is the lifter of fools” is a pretty cool one as well).
Didn’t even realize there are rooms in that elephant!
Big open area in the belly, it’s a museum of the area and how Lucy was constructed. Very nice, hardwood floors, elevated walkway. Small space, but pretty nifty.
Is that a well-known proverb? I’ve never even heard of it! And I thought I was well-educated… time for my humble pie!
Agree Chris, probably need to edit that!
