Over the next 6-8 weeks, have a special treat for you guys & gals, a new ‘Object Doubles’ series! Many will remember Whoa Kitty; this year’s series is similar. Every 1-2 weeks will put up a new illustration that continues the story line. Each picture has 7 ‘shapes’ that are cleverly used twice (ie, object doubles). Some are easy, while others will be fairly tough to spot. Can you find them all?!
Note that tiled elements, such was windows and floor panels, will never be used as ‘object doubles’.
Try your hand at Whoa Kitty: 1st through 6th pictures here,
and the last one here
Answers to this challenge can be entered into the section below; submissions will automatically be revealed when time is up!
skates on girl
B sign and glasses on boy
fencing
belt on girl and stripe on boys pants
fish bowl and hat
seat sides
awning top and monkey’s hair
don’t know if right, was tricky this one
I believe that a window is used.
chocolate bar with bite = window behind lamp
glasses on chocolate boy = B on sign
skate wheels on CB = top of awning
nose and mouth on CB’s shirt = skateboard wheel
earphone on CB = button on baseball hat
baseball hat’s shirt = shopping bag
picture on newspaper = dog tag
These were tough, but Mashplum does list them all correctly. Nice job.
Alderney, the stripe/belt combo, as well as the skates on the girl are very good guesses, but they ultimately are different
think I’m going to put the rest of the pictures into a flash game format, so you will know when you’ve identified a correct ‘object double’….
