ok, its like this: the sum is of letters reversed:
ONE +
NINE +
ONE +
EIGHT =
NINETEEN
Very very nice puzzle.
@RK: A suggestion to the new system could be this:
any person could check the summitted answers any time, and can put its suggestion or question of the answers anytime, however if someone sneak the answer before they put their answer you flag them, so the only answers to be taken as true are the ones that the user put before they sneak the answer, and you still post 2-3 days period the official answer and the list of the solvers with this rule.
I think it could work because the ones that wanna solve will take the time to appear in the list of the solvers, but also the ones who just want to see the answers could do it also
It’s correct, I saw that it was upsidedown, or at least how u can spell words out with a calculator then flip them upside down to get words,the words are one, nine, one, eight, that adds up to nineteen.
jajaja, never though of that Hex, Because the visitors have to still be able to see the answers jajaja, well maybe its more like a selfchalleging to not look the answer and post, but let me tell you a problem like the complex clock puzzle of bilbao will test the most honest and puzzle lover man.
@Suineg:
There is a solution, though complicated, to this dilemma:
Visitors cannot see the comments until a certain time that is set for each puzzle elapses.
A note regarding the above should be clear. That will be an incentive to visitors to register and log in.
Logged-in users will be unmasked if they see the answers before posting.
Of course, this is not foolproof as some smart alecs may register under a different user just to view the answers without being unmasked.
Hey Guy,thanks for your thoughts about the new answer/comment section. Still trying to see how the current system plays out; in another 1-2 weeks, we can take an informal vote to see what people like best
And the answer to this one was ‘Nineteen’, very good
the “numbers” are words written upside down:
one
nine
one
eight +
—–
nineteen
Lateral thinking or upside-down viewing

Flip the puzzle upside down and you will find a new summation that works!
Thanks for your suggestions Suineg;
we’ll see how things go over the next week or so.
8+1+9+1=19..pretty obvious
@Suineg, your proposal will not work as you could log out, inspect the answers and log back in
Read upside-down:
one + nine + one + eight = nineteen
