Hidden Proverbs in a Maze of Letters

big word find puzzle

As many of you may have noticed, I’m slowing things down a bit for the summer. Come September, will pick up again.

There are 5 hidden proverbs hidden in the picture above. Find the 1st letter of the 1st word, then follow left, right, up, or down to find subsequent letters. You will never have to move diagonally.

What proverbs can you find? Answers can be entered below in the comment section; will reveal sometime next week.

Smart-Kit also features some really cool jigsaw puzzles online, or some great rebus picture puzzles

Too many cooks spoil the broth
A live dog is more to be feared than a dead lion
You cannot eat your cake and have it
Peace hath her victories no less renowned than war
A rolling stone gathers no moss

Spiraling outward from the central “A” are the following:

A rolling stone gathers no moss.
Too many cooks spoil the broth.
A live dog is more to be feared than a dead lion.
You cannot eat your cake and have it.
Peace hath her victories no less renowned than war.

Curiously, the spiral continues by saying “four saws”, although I definitely count five. Weird.

Starting with the large center A and spiraling clockwise:

A ROLLING STONE GATHERS NO MOSS
TOO MANY COOKS SPOIL THE BROTH
A LIVE DOG IS MORE TO BE FEARED THAN A DEAD LION
YOU CANNOT EAT YOUR CAKE AND HAVE IT
PEACE HATH HER VICTORIES NO LESS RENOWNED THAN WAR

This is how they roll in FOUR SAWS, AZ!
