Here is a new game that is very easy to play. I am thinking of a song, and you have to guess it. Whoever guesses correctly will pick the next song, and so on.
Rules: Your guess must give the Title, Artist, and Year. I will tell you how my song compares alphabetically and chronologically to yours. Only one guess per post. Do not guess again until I have responded to your last entry. The same person may not guess two times in a row, you must wait for someone else to take a turn.

Hopefully the comments appear live immediately.

Another tip (otherwise It will be impossible):
The artist is not from Europe.
I’m not interested in a google exercise.
Is this a song/band that we are likely to recognize?
For example, Pat Metheny wouldn’t exactly be considered “popular music.”
He wouldn’t even be considered “somebody more than 0.01% of the world population had ever heard of.”
breakdown dead ahead, Boz Scaggs, 1980
not American, not European
Shawn, is right.
I quit.
Shawn:
Not US doesn’t mean Not American
Well, this game took a sharp turn into a brick wall. I have played this game at parties where the difference is A) The song must have made the top 40 in the U.S.A., and B) you had to sing your guess. We can’t very well do B online, but I think it might be better if we invoke A. I didn’t intend for this to be a Google exercise, except maybe to look up the years. When the secret song is revealed, people shouldn’t have to say “huh?”
I will pick one that is a little harder than my last two, but still well known.
The NEW secret song is alphabetically AFTER “Great Balls Of Fire.”
The artist is alphabetically BEFORE “Lewis, Jerry Lee.”
It was released AFTER 1957
diegote,
Sorry if I offended you, that was not my intention.
Perhaps I was a bit brusque…
Don’t be sorry, I’m not offended.
Languaje, music and some unsaid rules are cultural differences between most participants of this site and myself. I tried to turn the game into a musical exchange and that was not the aim of the game. You made me realize that I had broken the game and at that point I didn’t know the languaje code to switch the situation to normal state.
Sorry everyone for crashing the game.
diegote.
