I loaded the game only to be faced with a welcome with my nick!
Either this game is psychic, or I had played it some time ago
Speaking of psychic, Gray-T pointed me toward this article which was incredibly interesting: http://www.stat.ucdavis.edu/~utts/air2.html
The following discusses this specific article: http://www.skepdic.com/remotevw.html
I myself am not a fan of parapsychology. “Psychics”, if they exist, should concentrate on scientific discoveries and medical research or locating terrorists gone underground
A man once received an email containing numbers for a lotto draw that should be held sometime in the near future. The sender begged the man to bet accordingly, assuring him of a win, and asking him to send back 10% of the proceeds, if any. The man, reasoning that the sender will not gain anything unless there is a win, buys a lotto ticket accordingly and eventually wins. He duly transfers the 10% to the sender.
Is the sender a psychic?
At first glance he is. But when you consider that he has sent emails to tens of thousands of people, each with a different set of numbers, you’ll realize how psychic he was.
Thanks for the link Hex.
Hope you’re not against going to see ‘Paranormal Activity’?
The ‘Blair Witch Project’ scared the *!#@ out of me, and I’ve heard PA is much more frightening!
I have watched (and liked) thrillers, horror and science-fiction movies since i was a kid. I rarely got tense.
I have heard about the Blair Witch project though not seen it. It is of course a fictitious story, though with a quite interesting plot.
Never heard of PA; what is it? I searched the imdb and found 3 Pa’s, but none seemed scary.
What is your stance regarding parapsychology? We should perhaps open a dedicated thread
It’s the surprise ending of the Blair Witch that totally weirded me out. Very very scary!! After seeing that film, vowed I would NEVER go camping again!
‘Paranormal Activity’ just came out couple weeks ago. I think there’s a ’surprise’ in it also, so don’t read up on it too much
Paranormal stuff is interesting. 99.99% of what’s out there is rubbish, but it’s in those .01% of events where I think we can potentially learn a tremendous amount. Have always tried to keep an open mind about these things, because every day I come a little closer to believing anything is possible! http://www.physorg.com/news174921612.html
I have just watched Paranormal Activity. Quite a good thriller. For info, it cost just $11,000 to make! Was that the surprise?
Looking forward to watching the Blair Witch Project.
As for relativity and quantum theory, you’ll be baffled by unbelievable, but yet facts! I’ll just give a straight tip to weight conscientious people: Running at speeds close to that of light will make you heavier but thinner!!!
Hhahaha
Glad you got a chance to see it. It definitely had me on the edge of the seat, wondering what the heck would happen next. With those weird camera shots in the mirror, kept thinking something scary would fleetingly show itself in the reflection.
I thought the Blair Witch was more eerie. Since ‘Paranormal Activity’ borrowed a lot from Blair Witch, however, you may not find it so. To do this day, when I ask my wife to watch it again with me, she gives me a mean look
Hey-and I’ll keep my eye open for that treadmill upgrade
