Although i like picross puzzles very much (this one is a variation of them), i did not like the interface nor were the colors well contrasted, especially in the 1st puzzle of the 2nd level. I stopped at that point.
I also enjoy these types of puzzles. The bad color differentiation does make it more challenging.
first time I played this kind of game, It is very cool indeed, for me gets hard from the expert section and beyond, taking like 5 times the record time in each puzzle in the master level, but cool.
I like it but I’d take the timer out. I think such a thinking game shouldn’t be stressful. Putting a timer on, for my part and what I’ve learned in Psychology, is just a stressor and a factor that inhibits thought and, for my part, kills the notion of pleasure thinking.
I’d let the player do some mistakes too, instead of correcting them automaticaly.
good point Oneiric. A lot of games automatically get a timer thrown in since it is assumed people want to beat their friends scores and play competitively. But for many of these brain games, this can be counterproductive. A good reminder, thanks again
The window is not big enough to play the highest levels. Unless not being able to see the whole puzzle is meant to be part of the challenge.
