I am a word of letters six,

“Pertaining to the mind;”

Rearrange my letters, and I’ll “grieve,”

Because you are unkind;

Rearrange once more, and you have made

“A cloak” of me, you will find.

    (Pertaining to the mind)

    “To grieve because you are unkind” – LAMENT
    “a cloak” – MANTLE (or ´mantel´ is also accepted)

    The word is “Mental”
    Rearrange it and it would be “lament”- a cry of grieve
    Rearrange again and it’ll be mantle. – A cloak that is a symbol of authority
