My 3,4,5,7 gives a favorable expression in the face.

My 4,1,2,7 means to give assistance
What am I?

Anyone get it without figuring out “angel” first? The one from a year ago I got with the first three clues, this one was a lot tougher.
England is correct (if you moused over the photo, a bit of a hint).
This one was tougher than the one a year ago. Was anyone able to get it without figuring out ‘angel’ 1st?
What got me started was the fact that the first and last clues differed only by one letter. After I had figured out the first clue, the last was easy and so was the rest of puzzle.
I figured out angel first, but could not match “give assistance”.
Hence I discarded angel, and worked instead on earth and “give assistance”. I found soil and land for earth. Land made lend strike to my mind (as both share most of the letters), and only then realized that angel fit in nicely.
I never noticed the photo hint.
