Let’s see how flexible your brain is- Can you make the dancer spin both clockwise and counterclockwise?

I saw the dancer go in both ways it depends in how I wanna see it, cool optical illusion.

For me the trick is to watch the leg that is spinning in the air. By focusing on this leg and “willing” it to be spinning in the opposite direction I can get her to change. Glad she is just a silhouette, or I might have more trouble focusing on the leg!

I couldn’t get the picture to change “at will”, in fact the harder I tried to make the image spin counter clockwise, the more it only would spin clockwise.

It was just when I relaxed an enjoyed the dance that, the image reversed itslef, seemingly on its own? Again, when I concentrate on the rotation of the thing, I can only see clockwise turning.

Not a good dancer at all, but wow at the shape!!

Very nice illusion! Really great. It took me about a minute to see it. Very nice.

Interesting.. The following worked for me:
    - Concentrate on some other part of the screen, not the dancer, and let peripheral vision reverse her
    - Shift vision to her slowly

Sometimes she can be reversed at will.. other times, not so much.

    Very cool optical illusion.

Cool LaDana. When I turn my head to the left side of the computer screen, the peripheral vision turns the image counter clockwise. When I turn my head to the right side of the computer, the peripheral vision turns the image clockwise.

It makes sense to me why the illusion works now. Spinning clockwise, she is standing on the left leg, and spinning counter clockwise, she is standing on her right leg.

The illusion would not work if was in color (drawn such that there was a front side and a back side). So I guess it’s a good thing we can only see the shape.
