A new study led by Dr. Bryan Raudenbush found that eating chocolate can improve cognitive performance, mood, and task workload.
“Composite scores for verbal and visual memory were significantly higher”, as was reaction time.
It is interesting to note that chocolate contains numerous chemicals which act on the brain:
- theobromine(a stimulant)
- marijuana like substances (anandamide)
- Phenethylamine (aka PEA, a stimulant, “love drug”)
- caffeine
