8sge is the only one that can be properly typed with one hand, with the exception of the 8

a8tpt is the odd one out. If you change each 8 to oo and rearrange the letters you get five birds and a potato.

    kroo
    rook

    ncoord
    condor

    aootpt
    potato

    kcuooc
    cuckoo

    mrooacntr
    cormorant

    a8tpt !!

The only way they are different is when you convert the letters to thier corresponding number in the alphabet, then add the digits, all are odd but the one above come out even !

Funny ? That’s what I could think of.

    Thank You.

    kr8

  5. falwan | Profile (beta)

    kcu8c = 46

All are odd but this one come out even.

The odd one out is: a8tpt (potato).

Each group of characters is an anagram where “8″ represents “oo” (not necessarily consecutive). Potato is the odd one out because all of the other anagrams are birds. In order, the solved anagrams are:

    goose
    rook
    condor
    potato
    cuckoo
    cormorant

8 is split into 2 o’s and the word is an anagram.

    goose
    rook
    condor
    potato
    cuckoo
    cormorant

    All are birds except POTATO.

kr8 - only one that forms a separate word. Crate :-)

    a8tpt
The only word that repeats a letter.
I’ve always hated these questions, as there is always more than one answer.
for example, kr8 can be the one out, as it has less than 4 letters, unlike the rest.
Or mr8acntr, as it has more than 4 letters.
Perhaps 8sge, as its letters all are unique, not in the rest of the words, AND it has “8″ at the begining.
So really, anyone and everyone can be right on these questions.

zzzdude makes a good point. It probably would’ve been helpful if I mentioned this was a lateral thinking puzzle.

The answer (we were looking for) is as Vikram, Mashplum, and SolarFlare wrote above.

The odd one is kcu8c. Brcause 8 comes in the 4th position which is a composite number. In all other words, number 8 comes in the prime number position.
    8sge — 8 is in 1st position( 1 is prime number )
    kr8 — 8 is in 3rd position( 3 is prime number )
    nc8rd — 8 is in 3rd position( 3 is prime number )
    a8tpt — 8 is in 2nd position ( 2 is prime number )
    kcu8c — 8 is in 4th position ( 4 is composite number )
    mr8acntr — 8 is in 3rd position( 3 is prime number .
